Having created a Sandbox for your primary Zendesk account it is necessary to register the CloudSET Framework against the Sandbox to make the Cloudset Services available for use.
Notice the Missing CloudSET Services in your Sandbox
Having created or reset a Sandbox for your primary Zendesk account the CloudSET Framework sidebar icon will not be present (1) since the CloudSET Services will not be available for use until the Cloudset Framework has been registered against the Sandbox.
Locate the Sandbox Registration Operation
Form within the CloudSET Services Account tab (2) in your primary Zendesk Account, select the "Register Sanbox" link (3) to invoke the registration process.
Note: a previously registered Sandbox that has since been reset or removed will be presented with this icon (4) to indicate that it is no longer possible to establish a connection to the Sandbox. This will be replaced with details of the latest Sandbox following successful registration.
Complete the Registration Details
Complete the registration form with the following details:
- The URL address for the current Sandbox associated with your primary Zendesk account
- The User Name of a Zendesk Administrator known to your Sandbox
- The API Token associated with your Sandbox (see below)
- Click the Register button to complete the registration process
Note: All other CloudSET registration information is inherited from the primary Zendesk account
Locate the API Token
Select the Admin side bar icon (1) in your target Zendesk instance and then select API from the list of Channels presented (2) to display the API token.
For security reasons existing API tokens are no longer visible from within the UI so it isn't possible to copy and past an existing token.
However, if you've stored the values elsewhere then any of the existing API tokens can be used for CloudSRT Services.
If you haven't saved a copy of the existing tokens then it will be necessary to create a new API token for use with CloudSET Services by selecting the add new token link (3) and following the instructions.
*Note: it might be necessary to enable the Token Access (4) and save the page (5) in order to generate the API token.
Confirm Successful Registration
Upon successful completion of the registration process, details of the Sandbox will be present within the list of Registered Zendesk Accounts, along with a indication that it has been possible to establish a successful connection between the Sandbox and the CloudSET Services (3).
*Note: the CloudSET Framework sidebar icon and CloudSET Services should now be available within the registered Sandbox account.
Notice the Presence of the Sandbox Configurations
After registration, you should also notice an entry within the CloudSET Configurations tab (3) for your primary Zendesk account, in preparation for the sharing of configurations (see Configuration Management).
