The Hide Empty Fields Widget provides an option to conditionally hide custom fields on the Ticket form if the field doesn't contain a value.

*Note: since once the field has been hidden it isn't possible to manually enter a value in the Ticket form, this Widget has been designed to work in conjunction with additional Widgets, Triggers and Automation's that automatically set a value in the field.

Configure the Hide Empty Fields Widget

*Note: if you haven't already done so, before attempting to configure this Widget please familiarize yourself with the section of this manual describing the deployment and configuration of Widgets.

Once deployed and installed the Hide Empty Fields Widget (1) can be configured (2) and utilized from within the CloudSET Widget Library.

The Custom Field must be made Visible to the End Users

The custom fields used by this Widget must by default be visible to the End User within the Ticket form. otherwise when a value is set in the field using an alternative Widget, Trigger or Automation it will remain hidden in the form.

Choose Custom Fields to Hide when Empty

A list of all custom Ticket fields that can be hidden using this Widget is presented for selection.

Select each Custom Field (1) that should be hidden on the Ticket from when no value is present and save the updates (2).

The custom field will no longer be visible in the Ticket form whilst it remains empty and it will then whilst empty, it will only be possible to set a value in the field using an alternative Widget, Trigger or Automation.
